Chatbots are our AI buddies for everyday questions. PlantGPT is our expert counterpart. The digital assistant helps employees in BASF production facilities work faster and more efficiently. It not only eases the daily operations in the control room but also assists the team in onboarding new colleagues quickly. AI does not take the wheel – it remains the co-pilot that supports us efficiently. PlantGPT was developed by the team at the Acetylene Plant in Geismar, USA, in close collaboration with BASF’s digitalization experts from Ludwigshafen, Germany, and Madrid, Spain. A milestone for sustainable shipping: The world’s first large-scale commercial e-methanol production facility of European Energy has officially started operations in Kassø, Denmark. Powered by a nearby solar park and completed in just 18 months, the project showcases what’s possible through innovation and collaboration.
